Navy Chaplain to his success as Founder and President of National Association for Medical & Dental, Tom has always been on the search for people needing a strong dose of hope! Over the years, Lane and wife Chrissie saw the mounting need of so many individuals who were suffering from poor oral health, yet could not afford dental care. It became very clear that many of these individuals also needed the “tools” to help them overcome the struggles which were robbing them of joy, financial stability, good health and happy relationships.

Tom and Chrissie envisioned a way to provide the necessary resources in order to recreate the inward smile, along with a beautiful, new outward smile, for these desperate individuals, including many under-served Veterans. SmileFaith Foundation was born July 2009 and has been providing charitable dental care and inspiration for disadvantaged residents of the Appalachian Mountains and under-served Veterans of Florida ever since. Mr. Lane holds a B.A. degree in Sociology from Mobile University and the Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, North Carolina. Under his leadership, SmileFaith has grown to eight unique programs, and has provided almost 13 million dollars in charitable care to those in need.

For Dr. Patel, the best part about being a dentist is watching someone transform thanks to the smile he has given them. He has seen countless patients fill up with refreshed confidence and hope because of their new teeth, and it makes him look forward to work every day. He has been practicing dentistry for 12 years so far, and he is eager to help even more people for decades to come. Before you meet him at RP Dental & Implants, you can start getting to know him by reading on below.
Dr. Patel was inspired by his grandfather who was a physician. He knew he wanted to be in the medical field from a young age because it would give him the ability to positively change people’s lives. He decided that dentistry would give him the best chance to follow this passion while also allowing him to dedicate plenty of time to his family. These days, he could not be happier with his decision!

Dr. Patel’s dental training started in his native India, where he received a Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the Government Dental College in Ahmedabad. After making his way to the U.S., he eventually graduated from Boston University with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Since then, he has dedicated much of his free time to continuing education, completing courses focused on implant surgery, bone grafting, and Invisalign. He has also trained with the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) to provide minimal oral sedation.

Dr. Patel stays on top of the latest breakthroughs in dental technology and research by being a part of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
